I work out of <A HREF="http://www.officenomads.com" REL="nofollow">Office Nomads</A> in Seattle (where, among other things, I maintain <A HREF="http://www.officenomads.com/blog" REL="nofollow">the Office Nomads blog</A>. After a bit more than a year in business, Office Nomads is the scene of crowdsourcing almost daily.<BR/>The owners of the office, Jacob and Susan, have provided a space and a platform for a community while the members (as well as Jacob and Susan, of course) have built an exceedingly strong one. Now, some of us are getting and giving work to each other while others are simply serving as a connector to the resources we need.<BR/><BR/>By far, the most meaningful crowdsourcing I have seen here took place when the space's office manager--who has been here since the beginning--was laid off from his telecommuting day job. Our community of freelancers, contractors, entrepreneurs and telecommuters coalesced around him, offered him all sorts of help and connections and have been throwing work his way when we can.
